The Mankind Project U.K. New Warrior Training Adventure

What does it all cost?

The cost of the NWTA for initiates is currently £500 and has been for 8 years. This covers everything for the weekend.

It is the intention of MKP (UK) that no man should be denied the opportunity to participate in the NWTA and to this end, there is a bursary fund for each weekend [made up of donations from men who have completed the weekend], however it is limited and we ask applicants to consider that some men who are unemployed or in debt may have needs greater than their own.

Stepped payments can also be arranged to spread the cost over an agreed period of time.

Refund Policy

The Mankind Project (MKP) is a non-profit organization run principally by unpaid staff that volunteer their time.  Hosting a New Warrior Training Adventure Weekend (NWTA) requires months of preparation and logistics which all require money.  Those costs include the rental of the facilities, food, materials and the costs of bringing MKP Certified Leaders and co-Leaders to lead your weekend.  That is why your tuition for the NWTA is £500.

We require that your tuition is handled prior to you arriving for the weekend.  In fact, most men who understand our refund policy are comfortable paying the entire tuition when they enroll.  Our refund policy is as follows:

Two Weeks Prior to the NWTA – Full Refund:

A complete refund is possible up to 14 days prior to the start of your NWTA.  Your refund request must be received by the Centre Manager in writing (e-mail is okay) at least 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the training.

Less than Two Weeks Prior to the NWTA – Full Refund Less Deposit:

If you request a refund in writing to the Centre Manager (e-mail is okay) less than two weeks prior [between 14 and 2 days]to the NWTA you will receive  a full refund less £100  deposit .

48 Hours to the NWTA – No Refund:

No refund will be granted in the 48 hours prior to the NWTA. MKP (UK) will   provide a discount against a future NWTA up to the amount of your deposit.[£100]  anywhere in the world for 12 months from that NWTA. In exceptional cases it may be possible to carry forward some or all of the fee to a future training.

Do Not Show Up for the Weekend – No Refund:

No refund will be granted if you fail to come to the NWTA that you signed up for.  MKP (UK)  will provide a discount against a future NWTA up to the amount of your deposit [£100] anywhere in the World  for 12 months from that NWTA.  In exceptional cases it may be possible to carry forward some or all of the fee to a future training.

Do Not Complete the Weekend – No Refund:

The weekend begins  on Friday early evening and ends in the afternoon on Sunday .  If you leave the weekend prior to the Sunday Closing Ceremony, no refund will be granted.  If you leave, you will be allowed to come to another  MKP (UK)  NWTA within one year of the training you left to complete your training at no extra cost, provided there is an open spot for you.

Complete the Weekend and Want a Refund– Full  Refund Less Deposit:

If you complete the NWTA through the Sunday Closing Ceremony and you are not satisfied that you got your money's worth and want your money back, provided the following criteria are met:

  1. Tuition has been paid in full or all agreements met prior to the training.
  2. You have been in attendence for the full time for each of the three days of the training.
  3. You have participated in all of the exercises and processes of the training.
you will receive a refund of your paid tuition less £100 deposit provided that you request a refund in writing (e-mail is okay) to the Centre Manager within 7 days of the Sunday Closing Ceremony of your NWTA.
